About Amber

I've always loved everything crafty, and at an early age, I had a sense of creativity and a love for making handmade gifts. I learned to sew from my mom and took some of the basic home ec classes growing up. I can remember making my first hand-tied quilt for a teacher who was having a baby. Fast forward many years and I was about to have my first baby. I knew I wanted to decorate his room with sailboats, but couldn't find the crib bedding that I wanted. So I decided I would make it myself. That's when I discovered that there were quilt shops that sold amazing fabrics. My life changed that day!
Fast forward over 20 years and my love of quilting (and of course quilt shops) has grown immensely. I haven't kept count of the number of quilts and quilted items I've made, but let's just say this "hobby" has a huge place in my life.
I have a love and appreciation for the work that goes into a quilted item, whether it's a table topper or a king-size quilt. I understand the time, money, and skill it takes to create a quilt top, and that's why I love helping people complete their projects. I want to work with you to understand what you've made and help to finish it well. When we work together, we will talk about details like thread color, pattern options, and quilting density, and I'm happy to answer any questions you have about my process. Thank you for trusting me to be a part of your quilt's story.
